About the Role

Scion is paving a new path in student living, and we're looking for an early-career Talent Acquisition professional to help bring that vision to life. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Hiring Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping our hiring engine running smoothly — from opening a requisition to getting a new hire fully set up in our systems. You'll partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers across the portfolio to build requisitions, move candidates through the offer process, coordinate background checks and drug screenings, and process new hires, transfers, and promotions in UKG Pro.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized, detail-driven communicator who thrives in a fast-moving, agile talent acquisition environment, and who takes accuracy, confidentiality, and a customer-service mindset seriously.

What You'll Do

  • Create, post, and maintain job requisitions in partnership with recruiters and hiring managers across the assigned portfolio.
  • Support the offer process end-to-end: draft and generate offer letters, track approvals, and ensure timely delivery to candidates.
  • Track requisition and candidate status at every stage, proactively flagging delays and communicating updates to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Initiate and track background checks and schedule drug screenings for incoming candidates, following up to keep every step on schedule.
  • Load, process, and hire candidates in UKG Pro, ensuring new hire records are accurate and audit-ready from day one.
  • Maintain up-to-date new hire trackers across the portfolio, giving recruiters and hiring managers real-time visibility into pipeline progress.
  • Process internal mobility changes, transfers, and promotions in UKG Pro, coordinating with HR and hiring managers to keep records current.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant electronic candidate and new hire files throughout the recruiting and onboarding lifecycle.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for candidates, hiring managers, and property staff on pre-hire questions.
  • Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates alike.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments to keep requisitions, offers, and new hire processing moving without friction.
  • Prepare and submit recruiting activity reports and metrics as required by the Director of Talent Acquisition.
  • Contribute ideas for improving recruiting workflows, candidate experience, and Talent Acquisition processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ year of professional experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or HR strongly preferred.
  • Experience with an HRIS/ATS platform, ideally UKG Pro, Greenhouse & Greenhouse onboarding preferred.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the discipline to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and a high level of integrity.

Why Scion

Join a company redefining student living from the ground up. This role offers early-career Talent Acquisition professionals hands-on ownership of the full requisition-to-hire process, direct exposure to UKG Pro and recruiting operations, and a clear path to grow within a collaborative, mission-driven Talent Acquisition team.
