Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets manufacturers. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven facilities. We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.

Summary:

As an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team’s recruiting strategy, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, screening, and extending offers to a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Working with the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role will have an innovative approach to recruiting, building internal and external business relationships, and helping the company reach its growth goals.

The position can be based out of either Darien, WI or Wood Dale, IL and will require you to be in the office at least 2 days a week.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Screen applicants and recommend qualified candidates while providing input to ensure teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other staff during the offer process, recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details to craft compelling offers
  • Conduct intake and ongoing weekly meetings with hiring managers
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
  • Incorporate the existing hiring process into your recruiting strategy to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Work to ensure staffing needs are being met guided by current and future goals
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Collaborate on job description creation and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build strong candidate pipelines and create brand awareness
  • Effectively utilize our applicant tracking system for documentation, tracking, and communication
  • All other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Bachelors degree or comparable work experience required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems 
  • Proven success in a high-volume recruiting environment
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Proficiency with social media, resume databases, and professional networks to proactively source candidates
  • Solid computer skills: MS Office Suite, LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
