The Talent Development Coordinator will shape the learning experiences that empower every employee to grow, learn and thrive.  

With a commitment to providing enhanced professional development opportunities to our internal talent, this exciting new role will team up with the Talent Development Manager in implementing our development strategy and will collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure synergy and alignment. What You Will Do

  • Coordinate all Talent Development courses and events, both in-person and virtual. Manage facilitators, scheduling, set-up, and materials needed.
  • Update and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS). Own the scheduling and participant registration for courses. Partner with HR Ops to run reports and create metrics.
  • Partner with the Talent Development Manager and Senior Talent Development Coordinator to continuously improve the Onboarding process. Help facilitate New Employee Orientation and support the onboarding courses administered throughout the employees’ first 90 days. Coordinate and prep for the employees’ first day in collaboration with HR Ops.
  • Collaborate with HR Ops to administer the Performance Management system and process.
  • Support the Certification Program by approving, tracking, and reporting certification awards for employees.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for employee support around learning and development. Answer questions and troubleshoot as necessary. Proactively identify potential questions/issues and addresses through communication planning and documentation.
  • Build relationships with Talent Development vendors and facilitators. Serve as the main point of contact for these partnerships.
  • Own Talent Development process and procedural documents. Consolidate, update, and create guides for administrators, facilitators, and consumers of content.
  • Track and document all invoicing for all Talent Development initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in an HR or administrative role
  • Experience working with an HR System
  • Strong critical thinking skills and curiosity
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think outside the box, and improve existing processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to understand audience and communicate appropriately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Learning Management System Experience
  • Train-the-trainer instruction and adult learning theory experience

Smithbucklin is a hybrid work environment with in-office days established as Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
 
Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $60,000– $66,000.
