The Technical Compliance Manager ensures RSI’s sportsbook, casino, and supporting platforms meet all applicable technical regulatory requirements across U.S. and international jurisdictions. This role serves as a key liaison between Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, independent test labs (ITLs), and regulators. This position involves direct engagement in the product regulatory support and certification lifecycle and managing staff members engaged in such. While this position has a strong focus on driving adherence to technical and regulatory requirements, it provides great exposure to the overall product lifecycle for a complex, enterprise level gaming solution. You will gain invaluable experience in a publicly traded company working with nearly every single department serving as a resource for all things technical and compliance related. You will be immersed in a highly supportive, constantly learning and collaborative environment. 

This role is remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

What You'll Do:

  • Interpret, operationalize, and maintain technical compliance requirements across all RSI jurisdictions. Possess a solid understanding of technical laws/regulations and technology concepts in order to mentor team members and guide other departments towards technology compliance in various jurisdictions. 
  • Manages and supports the training and development of Technical Compliance Analysts and Technical Compliance Coordinators including creating or modifying related processes and procedures. 
  • Collaborates with internal departments and external agencies to triage and document issues so the appropriate regulatory notices can be issued in a timely manner. 
  • Supports all internal departmental needs for technical compliance guidance on issues, new features, changes, etc. as it relates to the rules and regulations.  
  • Key owner in the requirements management process documenting rules, regulations, policies, directives, and technical requirements from various regulatory authorities.  
  • Analyzes new / updated regulations and provides structured guidance to internal teams and regulators. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Advise Product, Architecture, Engineering, QA, and Operations.
    • Support change management processes.
    • Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings where the review and sign off on product and platform changes occur.
    • Support investigations and incident reviews. 
  • Audits, Testing & Documentation: 
    • Prepare RSI teams for regulatory audits and evaluations, creating procedures as necessary to support such activities.  
    • Maintain documentation and compliance artifacts. 
    • Oversee validation of technical controls. 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field. 
  • 8+ years of iGaming, Sportsbook and gaming technical compliance experience 
    • Player Account Management system experience for an Online Gaming/Sportsbook operator.
    • iGaming (slots, poker, etc.).  
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role 
  • Solid technical foundational knowledge: hardware, software development, coding, web technologies, databases, networking, etc. 
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience as a manager of a team of analysts
  • Experience providing support to independent/governmental test laboratories and interpreting submission / technical requirements in the Gaming industry. 
  • Highly knowledgeable in the gaming regulatory legal framework and related laws/regulations. 
  • Technical understanding of sports betting and iGaming technology systems including systematic controls and operational procedures.  
  • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally. #LI-REMOTE #LI-PROMOTE

The pay range reflects potential variations in experience, skills, and location. The pay range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base pay, benefits, and/or bonuses. For candidates outside the US (Canada, Europe, Latin America), we take a locally informed approach to compensation and will share specific ranges based on your country of residence.

Location Eligibility (for nationwide roles): Open to candidates across the U.S. (except California, Washington, Maryland, and New York).
