Team Overview
The Technical Platform Manager plays a critical role at TransUnion as the conduit between our Sales, Solutions, and Engineering organizations. The Solutions team defines the “what and why” requirements, and in this role you will partner with Solutions and Engineering to define and execute the “how” technical solutions.This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Product Management. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
- Define and manage the roadmap for cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities.
- Partner with Solutions, Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams to align business needs with technical solutions.
- Act as the primary liaison between Solutions and Engineering to drive execution and platform adoption.
- Prioritize infrastructure requirements around scalability, automation, reliability, security, and cost optimization.
- Lead the delivery and lifecycle management of platform capabilities from concept through implementation.
- Establish success metrics focused on platform reliability, developer experience, operational efficiency, and adoption.
- Promote platform governance, standardization, and infrastructure best practices across the organization.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 8+ years of Product Management, Platform Management, or related technology leadership experience.
- 5+ years working with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, reliability, and security principles.
- Experience managing roadmaps and requirements in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
- Container and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and observability platforms.
- Cloud security concepts including IAM, RBAC, encryption, and network security.
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational excellence.
- Experience building self-service platform capabilities and improving developer experience.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
- Experience supporting cloud modernization or large-scale platform transformation initiatives.

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $168,750.00 - $281,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.TransUnion Overview:
