Our culture is one of curiosity, collaboration, proactivity and always bringing the outside perspective to our customers.

Position Summary:

Bold Orange is seeking a Technical Product Owner who is passionate about leading client engagements, driving delivery outcomes, and owning the intersection of product intent and technical execution. This role goes beyond requirements gathering — it requires leadership, decision-making, quick tradeoff evaluations, and accountability for ensuring teams are building the right solutions in the right way.

The Technical Product Owner will lead and document requirement discovery, guide backlog strategy, and serve as the connective force between client goals, product direction, and engineering execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality marketing technology solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

You will help shape marketing technology solutions that empower clients to achieve their business objectives and deliver meaningful customer experiences.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Client-facing

  • Act as a primary point of technical contact for clients, understanding their business needs, and ensuring marketing technology solutions align with their goals
  • Conduct regular client meetings to gather feedback, communicate progress, and address any concerns

Agile requirement gathering

  • Partnering with technical delivery lead, data solution architect, and data analysts to understand data model, create data visualizations and reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define epics, features, and user stories that reflect client and user requirements that align with a client’s technology solution roadmap
  • Prioritize and maintain technology solution backlog based on business value, technical dependencies, and client feedback
  • Conduct thorough requirements analysis to ensure a deep understanding of client needs

Author technical documentation

  • Create and maintain technical documentation as required, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant artifacts

Agile Expertise

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demo reviews, and retrospectives, both internally and externally
  • Influence cross-functional teams with agile process
  • Pivot quickly in response to changing priorities, new information, or delivery challenges, maintaining clarity, momentum, and alignment across stakeholders and the delivery team

Ownership and Accountability

  • Take accountability for delivery readiness, clarity, and alignment within the team
  • Ensure the team is working toward clearly defined outcomes, not just completing tasks
  • Anticipate risks, dependencies, and gaps before they impact delivery
  • Serve as a leader within the team, guiding priorities, decisions, and communication

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4+ years of professional experience at a client-facing role within technology solution leadership
  • Analytic mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking and responsiveness, with the ability to adjust approach based on new information, risks, or shifting delivery realities
  • Experience in marketing technology and technical understanding of marketing database, API, back-end integration, analytics, digital front-end experience, marketing automation, and email.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Agile backlog management, including prioritizing and planning
  • Ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where the nature of the work can be varied
  • Innate curiosity, happy to dig in proactively and whenever called upon
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred
