The roleWe're hiring our first dedicated Technical Project Manager to own cross-team execution of our technical programs. You'll be the connective tissue of delivery: sequencing work across teams, clearing dependencies, owning timelines and risk, and giving leadership a clear picture of status. You're technical enough to reason about architecture, integrations, and infrastructure tradeoffs, but your job is driving programs, not writing code.
What you'll doDrive cross-team coordination: sequence work and clear dependencies across teams (e.g., a product feature touching frontend, backend, data engineering, ML, and SRE).
Own program delivery end to end: take named initiatives — platform projects, internal tooling, infrastructure work, product launches — from kickoff through ship.
Own plans, timelines, and risk: maintain project plans and milestones, track and mitigate technical and delivery risk, and report clear status to leadership.
Own intake and capacity: run triage and routing in the Jira request portal — clarify, size, dedupe, and route requests to the right boards — and allocate capacity, with clear specs so async work doesn't stall.
Run the cross-team delivery sync: facilitate a Scrum-of-Scrums-style forum that executes against agreed priorities and bring real capacity and dependency data to the portfolio/roadmap sync.
Surface trade-offs: when two products contend for a shared resource, make the tradeoff visible with data so leadership can decide.
Product Owners decide priority; you sequence and deliver against it. You surface cross-product conflicts and aide in the decision-making process with PO’s and technical leadership.
The Tech Lead, along with engineering leadership, owns architecture and technical direction; you understand the architecture and flag technical risk, but engineering decisions remain theirs.
The Scrum Master owns team-level process and health; you consume sprint outcomes to keep the cross-team plan accurate.
7 years in technical project / program management delivering cross-team software and infrastructure programs.
Technical literacy: you can reason about system architecture, APIs and integrations, infrastructure, and latency/throughput trade-offs. Programmatic advertising or ad-tech experience is a strong plus.
Dependency and risk management: proven ability to map critical paths, manage dependencies, and keep complex programs on schedule, with hands-on Jira experience.
Distributed-team coordination, including working effectively across time zones.
Excellent written communication: you translate complex technical status into clear, concise updates for executives.
Bonus: ad-tech experience and a track record standing up project/program management where none existed.
Preferred, not required: PMP, PgMP, PSM, or equivalent. We weight demonstrated experience over credentials.
