Position Summary

We’re looking for a Product Specialist to help customers, distributors, and our internal teams understand and use Mitutoyo products. You’ll answer product questions, troubleshoot issues, provide training, and help keep product information accurate and up to date.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support on Mitutoyo products such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, CMMs, vision systems, and surface roughness testers, to customers, distributors, and sales staff.
  • Assist customers and internal teams with product applications, troubleshooting, and selecting the correct Mitutoyo product for their needs.
  • Review new products and engineering updates from Japan to confirm accuracy and stay current with the latest product advancements.
  • Conduct training sessions for sales support teams on new and existing Mitutoyo products.
  • Communicate with other departments to stay aligned on new product releases and product improvements.
  • Review catalogs and bulletins for accuracy in technical specifications.
  • Represent Mitutoyo America Corporation at trade shows as needed.
  • Maintain reference libraries of product manuals and assist staff or customers in obtaining product documentation.
  • Document and submit monthly activity reports.
  • Attend sales and product training sessions as required.
  • Create Knowledgebase articles and related documentation.
  • Identify potential sales leads and forward them to the appropriate sales teams.

Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

 

 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM  with 1-hour unpaid lunch.

 

Travel:  Travel as needed to support Field Service and Sales.   

 

Qualifications:  Four-year degree or equivalent education; Preferred: strong mechanical, electrical, math aptitude and computer skills.  Mechanical engineering experience is helpful. The company will provide 100% training for this position.
