Technical Support Specialist (Vision) - 100% Company Training Provided
Position Summary
Perform functions to provide technical support for the company's precision measuring instrument products and software to internal Mitutoyo America Corporation departments and end users.

What You'll Do
1. Review new products, product specifications, engineering, and product changes from Japan for marketability.
2. Provide technical assistance and recommendations to end users as requested.
3. Answer customers’ technical questions (such as capabilities or specifications on assigned products) which cannot be answered by the Customer Support Department.
4. Participate in, and sometimes coordinate, product, promotion and "Bukai" meetings to explain new products or specification changes.
5. Provide technical assistance to Quality Assurance staff and manage product claim process.
6. Pull warehouse items for recall as required.
7. Coordinate the technical inquiries between MJ and MAC, especially the special quotation requirement.
8. Primary judgement of the technology relating the ECCN, FDA, and others to enforce compliance.
9. Research competitors’ product specifications, prices, and performance specifications.

Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM with 1-hour unpaid lunch.
Travel: Travel as needed to support Field Service and Sales.
Required Education and Experience: Four-year degree or equivalent education; Preferred: strong mechanical, electrical, math aptitude and computer skills. The company will provide 100% training for this position.
