Technical Writer

Multiple positions


  • Technical Writer: Develops, edits, and or maintains technical documents to support full enterprise IT management.
  • Writes and edits technical documentation for all the project’s hardware and software to include installation, configuration, how-to documentation, and transition documentation.
  • Prepares, reviews, revises, and maintains technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
  • Provides advice for the development of the process of crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing highly complex and articulate articles.
  • Collaborates closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate and highly complex content. Identifies and modifies complex contextual errors, reorganizing content, and editing graphics, tables, and illustrations.
  • Produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, providing data definition and data flow documentation and formatting technical publications.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
