WHO YOU ARE  

  • You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security or related major at an accredited college/university with an expected graduation date of June  2027
  • You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher 
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills  
  • You are highly motivated and tenacious
  • You have proven analytical and problem-solving skills through course work, projects, and or previous internship experience 
  • Experience learning programming languages and technology tools (examples include Java, Python, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Github) 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

As a Technology Analyst at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to spend 27 months working with three different teams contributing to meaningful projects, developing relevant skills to solidify the foundation for your career while joining our inclusive and relational culture. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best organizational placement given your interests, skill set and relevant experience.

 Technology Analysts are fully integrated into engineering and technology teams, contributing to real security solutions. Analysts gain an inside look into the innovative technologies, practices, and business solutions that power a frontrunner in financial services.

ANALYST DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: 

  • Rotate through 3 different technology teams aligned with cyber or information security
  • 9 months on each team
  • 27 months total – Completing October 2029
  • Located in Chicago, IL

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN:

  • Gain hands-on experience protecting enterprise systems and data while working alongside information security professionals, developing expertise in areas such as threat management, identity and access management, data protection, technology risk, and governance, risk, and compliance 
  • Contribute to real-world cybersecurity initiatives including security automation, compliance analysis, intrusion detection, infrastructure security, and risk assessment, while building the technical, analytical, and operational skills needed to support secure business solutions and safeguard a global technology environment

 Every role in technology regardless of discipline is likely to involve:

  • Some automation via coding, simple OS shell scripting, low code technology platform etc.
  • The use or development of some generative AI capabilities

Salary Range:

Salary is $90,000 USD per year

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
