We are seeking a skilled Telecom Cloud Engineer with strong experience in telecommunications, virtualized packet core, IMS, and cloud-native infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of mobile telecom network architecture and hands-on experience implementing, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing telecom network functions in virtualized and cloud-native environments.

This role involves close collaboration with external vendors, cloud providers, and internal teams at OXIO. You will be responsible for end-to-end lifecycle activities, including design, implementation, operations, reliability, automation, documentation, and support.

Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Implementation
  • Execute full lifecycle implementation of telecom network functions in cloud-native environments

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cloud providers

  • Manage design, deployment, acceptance, operations, documentation, and support activities

  • Ensure smooth handover from deployment to operations with proper knowledge transfer

2. Mobile Telecom Network Architecture
  • Work across full mobile network architecture and network elements (NEs)

  • Support technologies across 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)

  • Manage core network functions including:

    • Packet Core

    • IMS Core

    • Charging & Policy

    • Registration & Subscriber Repositories

  • Apply deep knowledge of telecom protocols and architectures

  • Implement and maintain FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) frameworks

3. Cloud-Native Deployment
  • Deploy and operate telecom infrastructure in cloud-native environments

  • Work with platforms including AWS, Azure, OpenShift, and VMware

  • Configure and manage infrastructure templates (e.g., Heat, YAML)

  • Ensure adherence to deployment standards and best practices

4. Process Improvement & Automation
  • Continuously improve deployment and operational processes

  • Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to automate workflows

  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability

  • Support development of infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in network architecture, wireless networking, and virtualization

  • Strong experience with cloud networking and infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, VMware)

  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills

  • Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support experience

  • Familiarity with AI fundamentals and their application in network operations is a plus

  • Relevant technical certifications are an asset
