Smithbucklin, a 650-person, employee-owned professional services company with more than 70 years of success serving the association market, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Temporary Corporate Recruiter to join the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team. Our recruiters are true talent advisors and agents of change in our organization. What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of and execute full life-cycle recruitment for multiple office locations, experience levels, and client-facing business units with varying functional expertise, including marketing and communications, public relations, healthcare, education, technology, operations, and membership support.
  • Lead a highly consultative and strategic interview and hiring process, including facilitating intake meetings, developing talent sourcing strategies, conducting in-depth interviews, and managing the offer process for permanent-hire roles.
  • Manage searches for entry-, mid-, and managerial-level roles across multiple industries and functional areas.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by responding to inquiries professionally and promptly while coordinating candidate needs throughout the hiring process.
  • Leverage networking opportunities through social platforms, employee referrals, agency partnerships, and other professional channels to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Support leadership with change management efforts related to recruiting technologies, interview processes, employer branding initiatives, and talent programs.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines by continuously sourcing and engaging candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with hiring managers, senior leaders, and external recruiting partners to support business growth and hiring objectives.
  • Support leadership in implementing scalable recruiting processes, tools, and best practices that improve efficiency, consistency, and hiring effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple recruiting initiatives simultaneously while ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance recruiting outcomes.
  • Utilize AI-enabled sourcing and recruiting technologies to enhance talent attraction, pipeline development, candidate engagement, and recruiter productivity.
  • Maintain recruiting metrics, deliver accurate reporting, and provide insights that support data-driven talent acquisition decisions.
  • Attend networking events, career fairs, and campus recruiting activities to expand professional connections and identify new talent.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of two+ years of experience within the recruiting/talent acquisition function, including experience in a corporate or agency environment
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Jobvite
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and Handshake
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)

Smithbucklin is a hybrid work environment with in-office days established as Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines

Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $65k-$80k.
