Job Description

The Training Specialist is responsible for contributing to the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of comprehensive training solutions that drive performance across all functions within Medline’s Quality department, including but not limited to Quality Engineering, R&D, Regulatory, Branch QA/QC, Labeling, Laboratory, and EHS. This role serves as subject matter expert in adult learning and the training component of change management, elevating training initiatives to support both immediate operational needs and long-term business objectives.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively partner with cross-functional leadership to identify complex training gaps and prioritize learning initiatives that align with strategic organizational goals.

  • Facilitate Strategic Learning Events: Plan and execute high-visibility training sessions, leadership development workshops, and organization-wide learning events. Coach and develop subject matter experts to deliver training at scale and with measurable impact.

  • Measure Training Effectiveness and Drive Improvement: Design and implement evaluation mechanisms (e.g., competency assessments, effectiveness checks) to assess program impact and inform ongoing enhancements. Present key performance metrics and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Designs robust evaluation mechanisms; presents metrics and recommendations to leadership.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams; works closely with other Training Specialists, Sr. Training Specialists, Instructional Designers and stakeholders to advise SMEs on best adult learning practices and deliverable design, and effective delivery of technical training for incumbent employees.

  • Learning Management Systems and Knowledge Sharing: Support and author training-related documentation and resources using Microsoft SharePoint and other platforms, ensuring organized file structures, version control, and effective collaboration across teams for project continuity and knowledge retention.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training and Development, or a related field; or a combination of education and relevant industry experience.

  • At least 1 year of relevant business experience

  • Experience in different aspects of the ADDIE model, including training needs analysis, development, design, implementation and evaluation

  • Experience using e-Learning design programs and tools to develop courses to be housed in and launched from an LMS.

  • Experience in LMS administration

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical device, drug, or cosmetics quality environments.

  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in a quality-focused organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; positive, people-focused attitude.

  • Proficiency with presentation and communication tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Canva, etc.)

  • Experience facilitating training and presenting in-person and virtually, with different levels of audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior management and executive audiences.

  • Intermediate skill level with LMS administration, eLearning design, multimedia production programs (Articulate, Camtasia, Premier, Photoshop or Illustrator).

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$58,000.00 - $87,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
