Role Overview: Convr is looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our HR organization and own the training experience for our AI underwriting workbench platform. This is a foundational role: you'll become a deep product expert and translate that knowledge into engaging training programs, onboarding experiences, and demo content — first for our internal teams, and eventually for our external customers. If you're passionate about making complex technology accessible and love helping people succeed, this role is for you.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive, role-appropriate training on Convr's underwriting workbench platform for new hires across all levels of the organization.
  • Design and produce training materials including written guides, process documentation, video tutorials, and live demo content.
  • Lead platform training sessions as part of the employee onboarding program, ensuring new team members are confident and capable users from day one.
  • Serve as an ongoing internal resource for platform questions, user support, and refresher training as the product evolves.
  • Partner with HR, Product, and Operations teams to keep training content current with platform updates and new feature releases.
  • Build out a scalable external training program and customer certification curriculum to help Convr's clients maximize the value of the platform.
  • Track training effectiveness and learner feedback, continuously improving content and delivery methods.

What Success Looks Like:
In your first 90 days, you'll have a working knowledge of the Convr platform, completed your first round of new hire training sessions, and begun building a library of training and demo content. Within six months, you'll own the full internal onboarding curriculum and have laid the groundwork for our external customer training program. This role requires both content creation and project management responsibilities — candidates should be prepared to contribute directly to building content, not just oversee it.

Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Human Resources, or Business is a natural fit. Someone with a degree in Insurance, Finance, or Risk Management would also be strong given the underwriting context.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex software platforms quickly and translate technical functionality into clear, audience-appropriate training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and teach diverse audiences — from frontline staff to senior leadership.
  • Experience developing training materials, instructional content, e-learning modules, or similar deliverables.
  • Comfortable on camera and confident producing demo and tutorial videos.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Background in underwriting, insurance, or financial services is strongly preferred — familiarity with underwriting workflows and terminology will be a significant advantage.
  • Prior experience in a Learning & Development, Training, or Enablement role preferred.

Benefits & Compensation:

  • Remote work opportunities
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • Company Paid Holidays
  • Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, vision, short-term & long-term disability, life insurance, and accident coverage)
  • 401K
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • The final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, education, skills, and industry knowledge.
