Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Treasury Analyst. Berlin Packaging has created a new Treasury Analyst role. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate early in their finance career. This role is an integral part of our dynamic global Treasury team, collaborating with Senior Management and international Treasury team members. This position demands a responsive, organized and detail-oriented individual who can focus on several tasks simultaneously and deliver results while growing their international Treasury knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:In this position the Treasury Analyst will work closely with the Assistant Treasurer on a day-to-day basis to execute several critical Treasury tasks, including the following:
- Corporate cash management – manage world-wide cash account balances for multiple legal entity structures using banking software and a Treasury Management System. Maintain short-term forecast. Carry out short-term borrowings, investments, and redemption decisions. Maintain records related to bank systems access, bank accounts, and signature authorities
- Payments – collect and document support for repetitive templates, execute electronic payments and foreign exchange transactions using bank software
- Interdepartmental liaison – facilitate other departments’ use of bank software, specifically payment and reporting modules and act as a source of treasury related information for internal and external customers.
- Reporting – develop and maintain various reporting systems and distribute them on a regular basis within the Treasury Department to senior management
- Ad Hoc Projects – Engage in various Treasury related projects and tasks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
- 0-2 year(s) of prior experience in Treasury
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, coupled with a solid understanding of finance, banking, and accounting principles
- Demonstrated critical thinking abilities and a proactive approach to challenging the status quo for organizational enhancement
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster and maintain positive relationships across all management levels within a global organization
- Highly self-motivated with exceptional prioritization skills, adept at meeting deadlines, and managing evolving priorities
- Model the Berlin Values and serve as a champion for the Berlin Culture as defined in the employer and employee portions of the Berlin T-Chart.
Working Environment:
Hybrid work schedule at our Corporate Headquarters office in Chicago, IL. We are currently located at 525 W. Monroe Street in the West Loop with plans to move to the Merchandise Mart in January of 2026.
