Team Summary:

The Learning Design & Technology team is a collaborative group dedicated to designing impactful, workflow‑based learning experiences that drive customer confidence, adoption, and value. The team partners closely with Product and customer‑facing teams to shape learning journeys that support customers from implementation through ongoing use. By combining strong learning design practices with scalable technology and data, the team ensures learning is intentional, measurable, and continuously improved.

Job Summary:

The Learning Designer leads end‑to‑end learning design for PointClickCare customers, partners, and internal product education across all customer segments, including Senior Care, Practice Groups, and Payer, Provider & Convener. This role partners directly with Product SMEs and customer-facing teams to diagnose adoption and enablement needs, define success metrics tied to customer outcomes and time-to-value, and recommend a prescriptive learning approach aligned to customer workflows. The Learning Designer designs and develops engaging, accessible learning experiences using modern visual design and AI-enabled tools, and owns the evaluation of artifacts by continuously measuring impact and iterating with Learning Technology Specialists and business partners to tell the story of learning value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning strategy, discovery, & initiative ownership: Take the front seat on learning initiatives by leading project plans/timelines, discovery, decision-making, and execution. Partner closely with Product, Customer Success, Customer Support, Professional Services, and other SMEs to understand customer workflows, business goals, and learner needs while negotiating scope and content accuracy. Diagnose adoption and enablement gaps, define desired outcomes, and translate insights into prescriptive workflow-based learning journeys that scale with product releases and new product introductions (NPI) and align to key moments across the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, adoption, and major product releases.
  • Learning design & development: Design and develop high-quality learning experiences across formats (eCourses, videos, job aids, virtual or in-person live event materials, and in-app performance support). Apply adult learning principles, visual design standards, accessibility best practices, and AI-enabled tools to produce learning that is relevant, engaging, and easy to use.
  • Measurement, evaluation & continuous improvement: Own the evaluation strategy for learning solutions by defining success measures, collecting learner feedback, customer input, and utilization data, then analyzing results to identify what’s working and what needs to change. Partner with Learning Technology Specialists and other teams to enable data collection and reporting, surface insights, and iteratively improve learning based on evidence.
  • Innovation & continuous improvement: Contribute to the evolution of learning design practices by applying new approaches, tools, and templates to improve the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of learning solutions. Identify opportunities to enhance learning experiences and share recommendations with the broader team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years designing and developing adult learning solutions for software products or complex processes.
  • Strong expertise in learning design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, agile learning development) including evaluation.
  • Proven ability to lead learning initiatives end- to-end (scope, plan, stakeholders, delivery).
  • Advanced skill using modern learning authoring and visual design tools (e.g.,
  • Articulate 360, Canva, Parta.io, Clueso, and AI-enabled technologies).
  • Experience partnering directly with SMEs and customer-facing teams to deliver prescriptive learning recommendations grounded in customer workflows.
  • Data-informed mindset by defining learning success metrics and using insights (surveys, usage/engagement data, qualitative feedback) to evaluate and iterate.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate research, drafting, storyboarding, media creation, and quality checks while maintaining accuracy, privacy, and brand standards.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education/certification in instructional design, adult education, learning experience design, or related field.
  • Experience with healthcare software and/or knowledge of LTPAC / senior living industry.
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare solutions, personas, and product release / go-to-market cycles.
