About the Role

Archetype AI is seeking a Visual, UI Designer to shape and evolve our design system, the connective tissue between our developer console, product interfaces, and speculative prototypes. Your work will accelerate how we build, unify how we design, and create stronger bridges between teams.

This role is ideal for a seasoned designer with strong visual design skills who thrives in fast moving environments, balances systems thinking with pixel-level craft, and enjoys collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to bring ideas to life. 

Core Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and scale our design system including components, guidelines, and documentation 

  • Translate product requirements into design flows with clarity, precision, and strong visual craft. 

  • Prototype workflows and interactions using Figma, Javascript, Vibe-coding workflows, to explore and test usability

  • Host workshops or discovery sessions with product, engineering, and UX teams to surface needs and align on shared standards

  • Partner with cross functional teams to ship product features end to end from concept to launch

  • Present and communicate design decisions and strategy to stakeholders using strong rationale and storytelling

  • Conduct periodic audits of UI to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or opportunities for improvement

  • Evangelize and drive adoption of design system across product and sales teams

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional UI and UX design experience, with demonstrated success in creating a design system from the ground up or making substantial contributions to the evolution of an existing system.

  • Strong visual design sensibilities including grids, layout, composition, and typography • Expert level proficiency in Figma including component libraries, auto layout, style guides, and documentation

  • Experience owning projects from start to finish and collaborating across disciplines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Enterprise Saas environments

  • Prototyping skills with Figma or Javascript

  • Familiarity with front end development principles and design to engineering handoff Designing for

Bonus Skills
  • Designing for ML and AI products 

  • Animation and motion design

  • Illustration skills
