Job Description

As a Value Stream Lead Manager, you will oversee end-to-end operations for a defined product value stream within Motorola Solutions’ electronic manufacturing environment. Your role ensures safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently met while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership

    • Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations and schedules aligned with customer demand and value stream capacity.

    • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

    • Monitor production performance and implement immediate countermeasures for deviations.

  • Team Management

    • Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams (production, engineering, supply chain, quality).

    • Manage workforce allocation across shifts to maximize utilization of personnel and equipment.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Drive lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and root cause corrective actions to achieve a zero-defect culture.

    • Participate in technology roadmaps and support implementation of new equipment and processes.

    • Optimize throughput, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across the value stream.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Translate customer requirements into operational strategies and processes.

    • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and supply chain to meet delivery commitments.

    • Provide clear reporting on performance metrics, risks, and improvement plans.

Additional Qualified Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100  - $175,000 

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of leadership experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
