In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Vice President of Operations to join our growing Operations team.

The VP of Manufacturing will plan, direct, implement processes and controls to lead operations. This includes accountability for production, packaging, maintenance, warehousing, functions, and supporting food safety and product quality programs within the food manufacturing facility. This role will develop strategies and priorities for performance improvement, technological and product innovation, and management of the sustainable development program. A key driver of fostering an operational excellence culture at all levels of the organization working closely with peers such as head of supply chain, head of engineering and CI, Head of FSQR, people team, and IT. 

Location - onsite at our Burr Ridge facility

  • Responsible for manufacturing standards to ensure product quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. 
  • Operations P&L accountability for results and variance tracking working with peers to implement countermeasures to correct. 
  • Reviewing analyses of cost, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives and provides regular updates on project progress, timelines and critical items. 
  • Creating and maintaining relationships across the company with all levels of internal and/or external parties.
  • Leveraging cultural and individual differences amongst parties to maximize success and championing team decisions. 
  • Ensuring a safe and health-oriented work environment for all. Building a culture where customer service and quality are at the heart of everyday business. 
  • Leading operational excellence to support reductions of scrap, efficiency of production lines, reduction of manufacturing costs in a Lean Manufacturing environment, use of key performance indicators and benchmarking. 
  • Collaborating with the People Team in creating and supporting skills development programs in an approach focused on engaging employees at all levels.
  • Develops future leaders by providing resources and support to develop skills and capabilities through unique development opportunities. 
  • Supports the advancement and optimization of our ERP and MES systems by driving implementation of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), connected business initiatives and the like.

Experience & Skills we value:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of diversified managerial and operations experience. 
  • Experience developing a culture of  lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Must possess executive level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external individuals and have proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Demonstrated excellence in strategic thinking, process creation and implementation. Open to new perspectives to achieve overall vision and company goals. 
  • Strong background in goal deployment, strategic planning and building organizational capability. 
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail and follow through.
