Specialty Program Group offers access to capital and investment, deep carrier relationships, creative thinking, product development and broad distribution, while allowing our businesses to maintain the essence of what makes them successful. Specialty Program Group delivers leading-edge specialty expertise backed by transformative digital capabilities and sophisticated data and analytics.

About SPG Ancillary, a division of Strategic Benefit Resources: SPG Ancillary is a division of Specialty Program Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of HUB International. Our mission is to solve problems, create a better experience, and produce results for our broker, carrier, and benefits technology partners. We pride ourselves on encouraging creativity with each problem, embracing collaboration at every opportunity, and empowering commitment to expected results. Our expertise lies in dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental health, and leave management. Our organization is comprised of four integrated teams: marketing, client service, leave management solutions, and business operations. As an extension of a brokerage’s consulting and service teams, we support marketing, sold case implementation, account support, renewal management, analytics & insights, leave administration & state disability compliance.

About the Position: We’re hiring a driven, detail-obsessed Vice President of Operations to help us execute with excellence as we scale. This is a critical role that sits at the heart of our business, supporting the SVP of Operations with high-touch execution across broker and carrier partnerships, analytics delivery, process optimization, and project management.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structure, loves building order from chaos, and takes deep pride in flawless follow-through. You’ll own internal and external deliverables, ensure workflows are documented and running smoothly, and be a key driver in standing up partnerships that scale. This is a perfect next step for someone ready to elevate into a senior leadership role with the right mentorship and growth runway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the build and execution of broker and carrier partnerships — developing, maintaining, and evolving service processes and deliverables to meet expectations.

  • Lead the creation, tracking, and delivery of analytics and reporting for brokers and carriers, ensuring insights are timely, accurate, and actionable.

  • Own the documentation and evolution of all operational workflows, deliverables, and SOPs — becoming the internal source of truth for 'how things are done.'

  • Work cross-functionally to implement processes that support our full-service model across RFPs, implementation, ongoing service, and renewals.

  • Project manage internal initiatives with a bias for clarity, organization, and efficiency — from standing up new clients to rolling out new tech tools.

  • Support internal capacity planning and data integrity by collaborating closely with the SVP and AVP of Data Ops.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and help drive continuous optimization — bringing curiosity, creativity, and a love of 'figuring it out.'

  • Be a culture carrier who helps embed excellence, accountability, and positivity into the way we work every day.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • You love a good checklist and live for structure, documentation, and organization.

  • You’re a natural project manager and can juggle moving parts without dropping the ball.

  • You bring curiosity and care to your work — always asking questions, learning, and trying to do it better next time.

  • You’re someone people count on to get it done and get it done right.

  • You’re excited to grow into a senior role and want the mentorship and exposure that comes with it.

  • You’re a Swiss Army knife who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in operations, account management, project management, or client delivery, ideally in group insurance, benefits, healthcare, or SaaS.

  • Experience working with brokers, carriers, or partners in a client-facing or service-heavy capacity.

  • Demonstrated success owning processes, documentation, and analytics/reporting in a professional setting.

  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a remote environment with autonomy and accountability.

  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn tools that support process and efficiency (bonus if you’ve worked with AI-powered solutions or CRM/project management tools).

  • Thrives in high-growth, early-stage environments where there’s more gray than black and white.

Work Location: This is a 100% remote position working in your local time zone. Access to a local office may be available upon request.

Salary Transparency: The expected salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA, and 401(k) accounts, paid-time off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions for some positions.
