Transformation Program/Project Manager

Client Onboarding and Service (COS) | Product & Transformation

About the role

Join the Client Onboarding and Service (COS) Product & Transformation team as a Vice President leading high-priority initiatives that improve how we serve clients and operate at scale. You will turn strategic priorities into executable programs, design future-state operating models, and align business, product, technology, controls, and operations partners around shared outcomes.

This is a hands-on leadership role with end-to-end accountability, from defining the problem and developing the business case through design, delivery, implementation readiness, change enablement, and value realization. The strongest candidates combine strategic thinking, structured problem solving, executive communication, and disciplined execution. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity, constructively challenging established approaches, and being accountable for measurable outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end transformation: Own complex, cross-functional initiatives across the transformation lifecycle, with clear scope, governance, milestones, decision rights, risks, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.

  • Translate strategy into action: Convert business priorities and objectives and key results (OKRs) into sequenced roadmaps, executable plans, and practical operating-model changes.

  • Design the future state: Assess current processes and pain points, identify opportunities, and design standardized, scalable processes and operating models. Define documented alternative paths when specific client or business needs require them.

  • Build the case for change: Develop fact-based problem statements, options, business cases, impact assessments, success measures, and recommendations that support timely leadership decisions.

  • Drive integrated execution: Coordinate dependencies across business, product, technology, controls, and operations; surface trade-offs early; resolve barriers; and sustain momentum across parallel workstreams.

  • Lead through influence: Create alignment among senior leaders and matrixed partners without relying on direct authority. Build trusted relationships while maintaining accountability for decisions and commitments.

  • Communicate with executives: Create concise, decision-oriented presentations and updates that clearly explain strategic intent, business value, roadmaps, risks, dependencies, decisions, and change impacts.

  • Enable implementation and value realization: Partner with business and change teams on pilots, testing, implementation, communications, training, adoption measurement, and continuous improvement.

  • Advance innovation responsibly: Identify practical opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, automation, workflow, analytics, and emerging technologies to simplify work, improve decisions, and enhance client and employee experiences.

  • Strengthen transformation capabilities: Develop reusable methods, playbooks, governance standards, and lessons learned that improve consistency and effectiveness across the transformation organization.

What success looks like

  • Anticipate cross-program impacts and focus leaders on the decisions that matter most.

  • Create structure and forward momentum when the path is not fully defined.

  • Combine strategic thinking with delivery rigor, from framing the answer through leading execution.

  • Communicate complex issues with precision and provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations.

  • Raise standards through sound judgment, preparation, follow-through, and partnership.

  • Measure success through business outcomes, sustained adoption, and realized value, not activity completion alone.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience in transformation, strategy, management consulting, program management, product, or operations within a complex organization.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs from an ambiguous problem statement through implementation and measurable outcomes.

  • Exceptional structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information, evaluate options, and develop practical recommendations.

  • Executive presence and strong influencing skills, with experience aligning senior stakeholders and driving decisions across matrixed teams.

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including building compelling storylines, simplifying complex topics, and creating polished, decision-oriented executive materials.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data and performance measures to identify insights, shape priorities, and monitor value realization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to tailor messages for executive, business, product, technology, controls, and operations audiences.

  • Disciplined program leadership experience, including governance, integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue resolution, change management, and executive reporting.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining attention to detail, sound judgment, and accountability for results.

  • Proven ability to build trust, challenge constructively, and achieve outcomes without direct control of resources.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or another relevant advanced degree.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Lean Six Sigma, change management, or comparable transformation credential.

  • Experience in financial services, client onboarding and service, operations, product delivery, or another regulated environment.

  • Exposure to or understanding of payments, treasury services, merchant services, or related products and business processes.

  • Experience designing future-state operating models, simplifying end-to-end processes, or leading organization-wide change.

  • Experience applying artificial intelligence, automation, workflow, analytics, or digital capabilities to improve business outcomes.

  • Previous management consulting or internal strategy experience.

Leadership expectations

You will be expected to operate as an enterprise-minded leader who sets direction, exercises sound judgment, develops others through the work, and represents the Product & Transformation organization with credibility. The successful candidate will bring intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a track record of turning complex challenges into scalable solutions and measurable value.
