Vice President, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs

Position Overview

Regal Rexnord is seeking a senior, business-minded quality, product compliance, and operational excellence leader to serve as Vice President, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and President of the Automation and Motion Control (AMC) Segment, this role will support AMC by building and strengthening segment-level standards, governance, operating rhythms, and cross-divisional processes for quality, product compliance, operational execution, and regulated customer expectations. 

This is a segment-level operations leadership role, not a traditional plant quality position, legal role, or government/regulatory affairs role. The role will enable AMC to move from division-by-division problem solving to a more consistent and repeatable segment model by translating quality, customer, regulatory, and compliance requirements into executable operating controls.

Key Responsibilities

Segment Quality, Product Compliance & Governance

• Establish AMC segment governance for quality, product compliance, product safety, regulated-customer readiness, and operating standards.
• Identify recurring quality, compliance, and regulatory risks and drive cross-divisional corrective and preventive actions.

Aerospace, Defense & Regulated Customer Readiness

• Lead segment actions from AMC Aerospace and Defense maturity assessments.
• Translate maturity recommendations into executable workstreams with Legal, Trade Compliance, IT, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Support practical approaches for regulated customer expectations, including FAA concepts, FAR/DFARS flow-downs, evidence, supplier readiness, recordkeeping, corrective action, traceability, change control, quality escapes, audits, and customer-specific obligations.

Quality Systems

• Assess quality system maturity and strengthen common processes, metrics, management reviews, and visibility to significant quality events.
• Set practical standards for root cause, corrective and preventive action, containment, effectiveness checks, and lessons learned.

Product Compliance

• Strengthen AMC product compliance governance with product compliance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and legal teams.
• Create a segment approach to translate requirements into processes for product safety, labeling, materials restrictions, certifications, agency requirements, customer obligations, and compliance evidence.

Supplier Quality

• Set baseline supplier quality expectations and monitoring for high-risk suppliers, regulated programs, critical products, government programs, and compliance risks.
• Align supplier obligations with customer commitments, including flow-downs, traceability, documentation, change management, source control, counterfeit-part risk, inspection, testing, and corrective actions.

Legal, Compliance & Risk Partnership

• Partner with Legal and Compliance on quality, product compliance, regulated customer, supplier, and operational governance matters.
• Support fact development, root cause investigation, corrective action planning, and implementation for significant quality, compliance, customer, supplier, or regulatory matters.

Leadership

• Coach, develop, and elevate Division & Site leaders to build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, capability building, and sustained execution.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend practical resources, training, process, or governance solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience across the following fields: Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Engineering, and/or Operations
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Demonstrated experience building enterprise or segment-level standards, governance models, operating rhythms, and cross-functional accountability mechanisms
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate legal, regulatory, customer, and compliance requirements into practical operating controls
• Experience leading cross-functional workstreams across Operations, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, IT/Cybersecurity, and business leadership
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and divisional teams in a matrixed environment
• Working knowledge of quality systems, corrective action, supplier quality, product compliance, regulated customer expectations, and continuous improvement methods

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, FAA-regulated, FAR/DFARS, FDA medical device, medical, data center, or similarly regulated customer environments
• Experience in implementing quality governance, supplier quality improvements, product compliance processes, or operational excellence systems across multiple sites or divisions
• Lean, Six Sigma, quality management, regulatory compliance, or related certifications

Pay Transparency

Expected Base Salary Range: $247,400 - $385,400

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
