Company Overview

The Compliance Services Organization didn't exist. We built it.

MedPro Disposal is the nation's largest privately-held medical waste company, serving 35,000+ healthcare providers across 48 states for the past 15 years. On that foundation, we launched MP1 Solutions to pioneer the Compliance Services Organization (CSO) — a new category of operating partner built to replace the fragmented vendor model that has defined healthcare compliance for decades. MP1 Solutions extends MedPro Disposal's operational infrastructure, vendor network, and customer trust into a category we're actively building — and leading — with a technology-forward approach that's making this model smarter, faster, and more scalable as we grow.

What we do: We operate as the single compliance partner for non-acute healthcare facilities — consolidating every obligation into one coordinated program, assigning one dedicated account manager as the point of accountability, and actively managing the underlying vendor ecosystem through continuous evaluation, negotiation, and optimization on the practice's behalf.

Why it matters: Regulated facilities across the country are managing compliance the same fragmented way they always have. We're changing that, backed by 15 years of MedPro Disposal's operational credibility — and we're looking for people who want to help build what comes next.

Our technology: We're actively building the AI infrastructure that sits behind this model — automating compliance tracking, surfacing risks before they become problems, and creating a system that gets smarter with every client we add. If you want to build at the intersection of compliance and technology, you're in the right place.

Our impact: Our clients never have to worry about something falling through the cracks — obligations are coordinated, tracked, and documented in one place. We audit costs, eliminate overcharges, and deliver proof of compliance that always keeps practices inspection ready. Every client has one dedicated account manager who owns their program end to end. And unlike a traditional vendor relationship, our model is designed to get better over time — continuously re-evaluated, optimized, and improved with every client we serve.

Position Overview:

The VP of Finance exists to be the strategic financial partner to the President and CEO across Accordant Capital and its portfolio of operating companies. The role starts inside MedPro Disposal and expands to carry financial responsibility across multiple entities, including MP1 Solutions and future portfolio additions — translating the numbers into decisions, and the company’s growth plans into a finance function that can support them. This is not a back-office reporting role: it requires real operational fluency across delivery, support, and operations, and the willingness to wear many hats in a founder-led, PE-backed environment. The VP of Finance leads budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A, oversees the Controller and broader finance function, and brings the operating discipline (EOS or a similar system), modern FP&A and ERP tooling, and AI-enabled automation that a multi-company finance function needs to scale. Success looks like a finance function that scales ahead of the business, a President and CEO who can make decisions with full consolidated financial visibility, and a trusted advisor to ownership on performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full accounting cycle through the Controller and finance team — general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
  • Build and own financial consolidation, intercompany accounting, and consolidated reporting as the finance function expands across multiple companies
  • Own cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and capital planning across the business
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial statements, and deliver executive-level reporting, commentary, and analysis to the President and CEO and ownership
  • Set financial controls strategy, accounting policy, and compliance direction across the organization; ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A in direct partnership with the President and CEO — including driver-based models, scenario planning, and budget-to-actual accountability
  • Manage and mentor the finance function, including the Controller, and partner directly with operations and sales leadership to translate financial insight into business decisions
  • Own finance systems strategy — accounting/ERP (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and FP&A tooling — identifying gaps in existing processes and driving scalable, company-wide improvements
  • Champion AI and automation within finance — close, reconciliations, reporting, and forecasting — in step with the company's broader AI infrastructure build
  • Bring structure to the operating cadence — scorecards, quarterly priorities, and accountability rhythms (EOS/Traction or a similar operating system)
  • Take on HR administrative oversight, licensing/permitting, contract administration, and other cross-functional special projects — operating as a true generalist partner to the President and CEO
  • Serve as the primary financial point of contact for ownership — covenant reporting, board packages, and portfolio-level financial updates
  • Bring operational fluency beyond finance — engage directly with delivery, support, and operations functions to understand the business at a ground level, not just through the numbers

Required Qualifications

  • Years of experience: 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior finance leadership (VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or CFO-track) in a small or PE-backed company
  • Industry background: Demonstrated experience in a founder-led or PE-backed small-company environment (under 200 employees), with real operational exposure beyond finance — delivery, support, and/or operations
  • Multi-entity scope: Experience leading finance across multiple entities or operating companies — consolidations, intercompany accounting, and entity-level reporting
  • Technical skills: Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards; proficiency in accounting/ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Other: Proven track record leading FP&A/budgeting processes and partnering directly with a CEO or President; experience working with or reporting to a PE sponsor is a strong plus

Big Pluses:

  • EOS experience — running or operating within the Entrepreneurial Operating System (scorecards, Rocks, Level 10 meetings) or a comparable operating cadence
  • AI experience — hands-on use of AI and automation tools to modernize close, reporting, forecasting, or analysis
  • FP&A and ERP tools — deep FP&A experience with modern planning and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, Planful, Cube, or similar)

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA
  • Experience in healthcare, waste management, logistics, or a service-based industry
  • Familiarity with HR administrative processes and people operations
  • Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Director of Finance, or other hybrid operational-finance role at a founder-led company
  • Track record of building finance teams and processes in a growing, multi-company or holding-company structure

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary of $185K
  • Total Compensation at Plan (OTE): of $200K–$222K
  • Meaningful Impact: Join a mission-driven company helping healthcare providers strengthen compliance so they can focus on patient care
  • Ownership & Growth: Help shape the future of our sales organization and AI-enabled tools in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, paid holidays, and a collaborative, high-energy culture
