As our VP, Marketing, you will....

Act as a senior, solution-oriented leader who thrives on developing lasting relationships between client and agency teams. You will lead internal teams to support client engagements and position them to introduce new solutions effectively to changing market conditions. Utilizing deep industry knowledge, you will inspire team members to make our strategies, campaigns, and experiences more innovative and effective. This role requires high-level consulting and expertise in all aspects of account management.

Core Responsibilities

Brand and Campaign Strategy

  • Lead and support both brand and demand initiatives for MERGE marketing.
  • Direct the development and execution of performance marketing campaigns to promote MERGE’s brand, offerings, and partnerships.
  • Partner with the CMO and brand marketing teams to develop and execute the strategic plan for brand growth.
  • Define the overall marketing strategy and identify target markets to bring the brand story to life.
  • Collaborate with sales, campaign managers, and business development teams to deliver comprehensive demand generation plans.

Functional Marketing & Operations

  • Collaborate with the CMO and brand teams on the strategy, design, and governance of the MERGE website.
  • Partner with the internal social media team to evolve strategy and oversee channel performance.
  • Drive brand awareness through creative storytelling across video, web, email, and social media.
  • Work with client success teams to identify, create, and socialize client and partner case studies.
  • Oversee brand guidelines to ensure ease of use, understanding, and compliance.

Events and PR

  • Develop and execute MERGE’s event roadmap and playbook, focusing on brand impact and sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate event participation and sponsorship costs, manage logistics, and maintain brand standards.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the impact of event activities.
  • Collaborate with communications and PR teams to refine messaging and align outbound strategy.
  • Partner with MERGE Industry Leaders to create content that increases earned media and brand awareness.

Leadership

  • Mentor and train team members, setting clear goals and managing performance to inspire a culture of "Ability, Agility, and Humility".
  • Cultivate meaningful cross-functional relationships, serving as a role model and trusted partner across the agency.
What You’ll Bring
  • 8–12 years of experience in brand/demand marketing with a proven track record of developing strategies and overseeing complex workstreams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the advertising industry, particularly within MERGE's key verticals: Health Plans, Health Providers, Specialty Healthcare, Lifestyle, and Financial Services.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with an engaging and trusted presence.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in ensuring quality content creation and working with multiple stakeholders.

MERGE believes in transparency and equity. In accordance with state regulations, we’re proud to include salary ranges in our job postings to ensure fair compensation practices.

The salary range for this role is $144,550 - $173,450, based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
