The Vice President of SMB Sales at Salesforce leads the Small, Medium, and Growth Business sales organization. This executive designs go-to-market strategies, manages regional vice presidents, and drives high-volume customer acquisition and revenue growth across North American and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution: Set and execute aggressive sales strategies to capture the high-velocity, small-and-medium business market.
  • Leadership & Development: Lead a growing sales organization, overseeing Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) and Account Executives (AEs).
  • Pipeline Management: Build a world-class operating cadence by managing sales forecasting, pipeline efficiency, and go-to-market performance metrics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Salesforce Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to refine product-led growth (PLG) initiatives and integrate AI-driven sales tools.
  • Executive Engagement: Cultivate relationships with C-suite executives and steer complex deal transactions.

​Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of software/application sales experience, including proven executive leadership in commercial or SMB sales.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of modern growth disciplines, including demand generation, funnel optimization, and customer acquisition economics
  • Data-Driven: Ability to build data-driven operating models with strong ROI and KPI management
  • AI Knowledge: A strong point of view on how AI and autonomous agents reshape customer journeys and go-to-market models.
  • Education: Relevant degree or equivalent professional leadership experience.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $224,820 - $300,720 annually There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $237,420 - $317,520 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
