Job Description:

Position Summary:

  • Fills customers’ orders in accordance with specifications on order form.
  • Receives and reads customer order to identify item(s) to be pulled. Verifies stock availability.
  • Operating warehouse machinery in accordance with established procedures, obtains item(s) in stock from shelves.
  • Conveys, or prepares, orders for wrapping and delivery.
  • Prepares and maintains records.
  • Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

 Pay rate: USD $18.57 Hourly

Shift: 6am to 2:30 -Monday through Friday. OT Required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fills orders in accordance with specifications on order form. (85%)
  • Pick orders in accordance with order form specifications, using lift or order picker
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Print labels and inventory tickets.
  • Initiate cycle count requests when inventory variances are detected.
  • Band/Wrap orders for delivery.
  • Complete import/export paperwork, as necessary.
  • Process orders using Pitney Bowes.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Report all unsafe conditions to Team leader.
  • Have a high level of safety awareness to include defensive driving skills and increased awareness of surroundings.
  • Maintain good attendance and work all posted overtime.

 Maintain warehouse operations. (10%)

  • Complete replenishment cards.
  • Replenish materials into their proper locations.
  • Repair pallets.
  • Perform daily maintenance on warehouse equipment (maintain, charge, clean batteries).
  • Maintain warehouse environment. (5%)
  • Follow established procedures to maintain work environment in a neat and orderly

Requirements

Requirements/Expectations:

  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Willing to train on Forklift, Forklift experience would be a plus.
  • Forklift type would be both site down and stand-up forklift. Will be certified.
  • Cross train in other areas
  • Will be trained in cutting -shears
  • Will be cross trained in Shipping and Receiving and must be able to read and understand English.
  • Will utilize UPS/FedEx portals (Computer)-Will be trained. 
  • Once Forklift is certified a pay rate increase will be offered.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-6 months’ manufacturing experience Preferred - Willing to train on Forklift (site down and stand-up forklift), Forklift experience would be a plus.
  • Both site down and stand-up Will be certified. 
  • Once Forklift certified, pay rate be offered.
