Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Feeder to support our web press operations by supplying materials, maintaining production flow, and assisting the press crew in producing exceptional printed products.  This position is ideal for someone with web printing experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking to grow their career in the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply presses with paper, ink, and other job-related consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Assist First and Second Pressmen with press setup, operation, and inline finishing activities.
  • Order appropriate paper stock from the warehouse and inspect rolls for damage before loading.
  • Maintain proper ink fountain levels and monitor fountain solution conductivity for optimal print quality.
  • Accurately report production information, including time, production results, and paper tare weights.
  • Help maintain proper print registration and support consistent product quality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general upkeep on press equipment and inline finishing components.
  • Cross-train and perform Second Pressman duties when needed, including assisting with training other crew members.
  • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer commitments and production schedules.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of web printing press experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing operations and pressroom processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications, technical layouts, and setup instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to perform production-related calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Dependable team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally lift 30–65 pounds.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 2,200 pounds using a hand lift truck.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb for the duration of an 8- or 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and production documentation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be warm, humid, dusty, or involve exposure to controlled non-toxic chemical mists or vapors.

 Shift: 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm) or 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:00am)
