The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Manager, Web3 VC & Strategic Funding Partnerships to drive our engagement with venture capital (VC) firms, institutional investors, and liquidity providers in the Web3 space. 

This role is critical in establishing and maintaining partnerships that fuel Chainlink ecosystem’s growth through capital investments, liquidity provisioning, and Total Value Locked (TVL) expansion.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of investments in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape. 

Your Impact:

  • Web3 Venture Capital & Investor Relations:: Develop and execute a strategy to build relationships with top-tier Web3 venture capital firms, Liquidity providers, institutional investors, and family offices. 

  • Liquidity & TVL Strategy: Identify and engage with liquidity providers, decentralised exchanges (DEXs), and yield-generating protocols to enhance the TVL of our ecosystem. Build mechanisms to attract and retain institutional capital.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as owner and work closely with the various Chainlink teams and programs to ensure alignment of VC/Funding Partners partnership strategies with company objectives and ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives.

  • Actively supporting BUILD Accelerator program: Be the single point of contact between BUILD Accelerator and the Web3 VC communities to enable valuable investment deal opportunities sharing and closing. Support BUILD project in their fundraising effort through review pitch decks review & active coaching of BUILD projects for VC discussions.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor trends in Web3 investments, DeFi liquidity strategies, and venture funding to refine our approach and stay ahead of market dynamics.

  • Co-investment & Deal Structuring: Work with internal teams to craft investment proposals, around potential direct, co-investment and funding of funds to influence the ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in venture capital, institutional fundraising, business development, or strategic partnerships within the blockchain/Web3 industry.

  • Strong understanding of Blockchain, Crypto, DeFi, tokenised assets, staking mechanisms, and liquidity management.

  • Proven track record of securing funding, negotiating investment terms, and structuring strategic partnerships.

  • Established network of Web3 venture capitalists, liquidity providers, and institutional investors.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinker, and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
