The anticipated salary range for this position is up to $150k. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Owens & Minor is seeking a highly experienced SAP MM & WM Consultant with strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience handling large-scale SAP supply chain and warehouse transformation projects independently. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading projects end-to-end, driving business discussions directly with stakeholders, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions with minimal supervision.

This role requires deep expertise in SAP MM and SAP WM, strong ownership mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage critical supply chain initiatives across procurement, warehouse, inventory, logistics, and integration landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP MM & WM implementations, rollouts, support, and enhancement projects.
  • Independently drive project discussions with business stakeholders, leadership teams, warehouse operations teams, and IT teams.
  • Work as a solution owner for SAP MM/WM-related initiatives and provide strategic recommendations to business users.
  • Handle projects single-handedly from requirement gathering through go-live and hypercare support when required.
  • Work closely with offshore teams and coordinate with functional, technical, integration, and infrastructure teams.
  • Analyze business processes and propose scalable SAP-driven solutions for warehouse and procurement optimization.
  • Configure and support:

    • Put away & Picking strategies
    • Storage Unit Management
    • Batch Management
    • Handling Unit Management
  • Support inbound, outbound, replenishment, cycle counting, physical inventory, and shipping processes.
  • Work on integration between SAP and external WMS/3PL systems.
  • Coordinate with EDI and middleware teams for interface design, issue resolution, and enhancements.
  • Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP developers for custom developments.
  • Lead SIT, UAT, defect management, cutover planning, and production support activities.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and warehouse optimization projects.
  • Create project documentation, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge transfer documents.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for SAP MM/WM-related escalations and critical issue resolution.

  • Experience leading onsite/offshore delivery models and coordinating multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to mentor team members and build strong collaborative working relationships.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of strong SAP MM and SAP WM implementation/support experience.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • SAP ECC
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • SAP WM
    • Inventory & Warehouse processes
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Procurement
    • Inventory Management
    • Warehouse operations
    • RF transactions
    • Batch & serial management
  • Experience with:
    • IDocs
    • EDI integrations
    • Interfaces with WMS/3PL systems
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Inbound & outbound logistics
    • STO processes
    • Physical inventory
    • Cycle counting
    • Delivery processing
  • Strong functional troubleshooting and debugging capability.
  • Experience in healthcare distribution, retail, manufacturing, or large supply chain environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP EWM is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to automation and warehouse optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SAP CPI/BTP integration is preferred.
  • Experience working with large distribution centers and 3PL operations is advantageous.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • SAP certification in MM/WM/EWM preferred.
