Translate business requirements into reliable software, consider service architecture, lead design and code reviews, investigate data issues, and contribute to engineering strategy. The role focuses on backend web applications, relational data modeling, performance improvements, external integrations, and collaboration with developers, QA, product managers, and technical leadership.
