With an office in Rosemont and its headquarters in Rockford, Cleo, a B2B ecosystem integrations company that uses software to facilitate communication, sales and other services, is continuing its expansion in Illinois by opening a new office in downtown Chicago.

With Cleo’s platform, businesses and manufacturers have a centralized place to supply data between businesses during things such as e-commerce transactions, logistical support or other services that help businesses operate smoothly. According to Cleo, its platform improves efficacy and reduces errors due to various integrations that ensure data on the platform is accurate.

On Tuesday, Cleo announced that it opened a 5,000-square-foot office located in the Loop, just blocks away from the iconic Willis Tower. According to the company, the new office is set to accommodate roughly 50 employees.

“Downtown Chicago was the logical choice for Cleo to continue expanding our physical presence,” Cleo’s CEO Mahesh Rajasekharan said in a statement. “The flourishing city offers access to top talent, an emerging technology sector, proximity to other major corporations and global prestige. We’re excited to continue providing our employees and business partners innovative, engaging and convenient workspaces.”

To staff the new Chicago office, Cleo is looking to focus on recruiting sales and operations talents, such as product managers and product developers. It currently has several openings on Built In

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for Cleo’s software has been on the rise as salespeople who typically traveled to meet with vendors were no longer able to do so. This led the Cleo platform to become a remedy to communicate with vendors and also supply data and documentation. According to Crain’s Chicago Business, Cleo also went from over 200 employees during the start of the pandemic to now employing 400 workers.

Besides its three locations in Illinois, Cleo also has offices in Pennsylvania, San Franciso, London and Bangalore.
