Chicago is a major sports city. With two Major League Baseball teams, a historic National Football League team and many other professional sports teams, it is hard to keep up with scores, news and even betting odds. Thankfully, there is a bevy of local sports sites keeping fans informed. Now, one of the city’s prominent sports sites will join forces with a local sports betting site.
Betsperts announced on Wednesday it acquired Bleacher Nation in a cash plus equity transaction. A dollar figure for the acquisition was not made publicly available. According to the company, this is Betsperts’ fourth acquisition in the last 18 months.
Founded in 2008, Bleacher Nation reports on Chicago’s major sports teams, including the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks.
Betsperts is a media and technology group founded in Chicago that provides content, analytics and advice to sports betters. Its goal is to supply fans with crowdsourced content and data to make informed betting decisions.
Over the last few years, Betsperts has seen massive growth. In 2020, it closed two seven-figure funding round, followed by a $6 million raise in 2021.

With the acquisition of Bleacher Nation, Betsperts reaches more than 25 million users and has published over 25,000 articles, according to a company statement.
