Chicago tech companies were busy last week as the middle of the quarter approaches and the New Year looms. Read up on Sikich’s latest acquisition and its expansion into India. Sikich acquired Accelerated Growth. Sikich is a tech consulting company based in Chicago that recently acquired Accelerated Growth, an accounting, finance and technology consulting firm. With the acquisition, Sikich will inherit Accelerated Growth’s 50 U.S. employees and 70 others that are based in India. The company will also retain Accelerated Growth’s two offices in India. Better Trucks raised $15M. Better Trucks is a last-mile delivery carrier with next-day and two-day shipping services for retailers. Last week, the company raised a $15 million round led by Lobby Capital. The new funds will be used to secure more warehouse space across the U.S. Better Trucks will also launch hiring initiatives for several technology, operations and corporate positions. [Yahoo]

Deloitte featured 12 Chicago tech companies on its annual list. Deloitte released its 2022 Technology Fast 500 rankings and Chicago tech companies landed several high spots. CoinFlip, a crypto ATM company, was the highest-ranked Chicago company, clinching No. 36 on the list of fastest-growing tech companies in North America. Other companies featured on the list included QualSights, Clearcover, Rush Street Interactive and Copado. [Built In Chicago]

CampfireSocial was featured in Built In’s Future 5 series. CampfireSocial develops private social platforms that are licensed to event organizers in order to host virtual, multiday events, including trade shows. The company was founded by Erica Bishaf, who wanted to find a new way to plan large events that were cost-effective and could appeal to younger audiences. CampfireSocial has raised $1.2 million in funding and is planning to raise another round soon. [Built In Chicago]
