PeopleHedge is an online financial services company that will level the playing field in foreign exchange risk management - by allowing small- and medium-sized businesses easy online access to the same kinds of financial products already used by very large corporations. 

Whenever a business decides to make a transaction in the future in a different currency, it opens itself to currency exchange risk.  The exchange rate may move unfavorably in the interim, wiping out profits.  This makes it virtually impossible for many international businesses to make accurate budget projections into the future.  

PeopleHedge offers a novel product that behaves like insurance for your exchange rate.  For a small fee, qualified customers can purchase a price protection contract that will reimburse them dollar-for-dollar in the event of an adverse move for their transaction… however, in the event of a positive move, the customer is also able to keep the profits from the improved rate.  Unlike larger-scale products available in the Forex marketplace, we are able to offer this product over-the-counter, for any transaction amount, and for any time interval of protection.

We plan to reach qualified customers by partnering with the banks and brokers that already service their risk management needs through forward contracts and actual money exchange transactions.  For this reason, these financial firms are also our potential customers. 

Our team brings over 20 years of financial and engineering experience to the table and has developed a patent-pending algorithm for aggregating customers into larger-scale foreign exchange products.  Our system does not use leverage, nor does it speculate on the direction of exchange rate moves.  Our revenue stream is straightforward and based only on a slight upcharge over what it costs us to protect ourselves. 

PeopleHedge will do for currency risk management what Paypal has done for online payments and what Expedia has done for the travel industry.
