sMap

sMap is a fun and engaging on-line mapping tool that allows users to individually or collectively create maps in a common map gallery. sMap was created by the award winning and nationally recognized urban planning and design firm Houseal Lavigne Associates as a way to broaden community outreach. sMap allows residents, constituents, community stakeholders, and others to provide geo-referenced comment - a way for anyone to create a map of "their" community in a gallery that can be viewed by fellow community members.

In this capactiy, sMap is currently being used as an effective outreach tool for a wide variety of projects with civic engagement or government transparency. Potential customers include government units – Countries, States/Provinces, Cities, Counties, MPOs, etc. – as well as other engineering, architecture and planning firms throughout the globe.

We believe sMap has potential beyond this space, providing easy and attractive interactive mapping for any business.
