Location: US-Remote

Reports to: SVP-Sales

Department: Sales

Experience: 10–15 years in enterprise B2B sales

The opportunity

Open and own UptimeAI's US power generation and data center markets. You will win new enterprise customers where every hour of downtime is expensive, from gas, steam and renewable generation fleets to data centers' critical power and cooling infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Own new-logo revenue for your vertical across the US, from prospecting and qualification through pilot, negotiation and close.

  • Build your own pipeline through outbound, industry networks and events, working with Marketing on target-account campaigns.

  • Map and engage buying groups across Plant Heads, Reliability, Maintenance and Operations leaders, and the C-suite.

  • Run discovery and build ROI-based business cases around downtime avoided, maintenance cost, reliability and energy efficiency.

  • Partner with pre-sales and Delivery on demos, pilots and proofs of value with clear success criteria that convert to enterprise contracts.

  • Negotiate commercial terms and multi-year enterprise agreements.

  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM; report weekly to the hiring manager.

  • Feed market, competitor and customer insight back to Product and Marketing.

Must have

  • 10–15 years of enterprise B2B sales, including 5+ years selling industrial software, APM, automation or power and cooling technology.

  • A technical foundation: an engineering degree, or early experience as a sales, application or pre-sales engineer.

  • Track record selling into US power generation, utilities or data center operators.

  • Consistent new-logo quota attainment and six- or seven-figure enterprise deals closed.

  • Strong self-sourced pipeline generation.

  • Consultative, ROI-based selling to technical and executive buyers.

  • Disciplined CRM pipeline and forecast management.

Preferred

  • Top-performer recognition such as President's Club.

  • Experience at an industrial software leader such as AspenTech, AVEVA, GE Vernova, Honeywell or Emerson, plus the appetite to build at a startup.

  • Experience in both power generation and data centers.

  • Experience with APM, predictive maintenance, IIoT or industrial AI solutions.

  • Existing relationships at US generation fleets, hyperscalers or colocation providers.

  • Experience in a Series A/B or high-growth company.

Key success metrics

New ARR closed · Quota attainment · Self-sourced pipeline · Pipeline coverage · Win rate · Average deal size · Sales cycle length · Pilot-to-contract conversion · Forecast accuracy
