We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to lead a team of Actuarial Analysts responsible for delivering accurate, high‑quality pricing analyses. In this role, you will serve as both a people leader and a hands‑on contributor, driving strategic pricing decisions, partnering with product teams, and ensuring profitable growth across key markets. What does a ACTUARIAL MANAGER - PRICING do?
  • Manage and develop a team of 2–4 Analysts responsible for in‑depth pricing analyses.
  • Pull, query, validate, and aggregate data for complex projects.
  • Prepare quarterly rate level indications and collaborate with Product teams on key assumptions.
  • Recommend pricing actions using sound actuarial principles and data‑driven insights.
  • Prepare actuarial support for rate filings and coordinate with Product and IT to meet deadlines.
  • Present actuarial findings and briefings to senior leadership.
  • Support the development of state pricing strategies in partnership with actuarial leadership.
  • Coach, train, and mentor analysts, ensuring strong technical development and effective performance.
  • Create a high‑engagement environment where employees feel supported and connected to company goals.
  • Manage staffing needs, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Drive accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and high‑quality work.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to support initiatives and strategic projects across the company.
What is required?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

Certifications/ Licenses/ Designations:

  • Near ACAS or within one exam of ACAS designation required.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience, with a preference for personal auto pricing.
  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Advanced mathematical skills and proficiency in Excel, SAS, VBA, SQL, R, Python, or other comparable programming languages.
  • Strong understanding and application of actuarial pricing principles.
  • Relevant hands-on experience with actuarial rate-making principles and techniques.

Other skills and abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing junior analysts.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating on key projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High learning agility and adaptability in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
What else do you need to know?
  • Hybrid; Candidates that do not currently live within a commutable distance to the corporate office in Richardson, Texas will be required to relocate within an agreed upon timeframe.
