Building the Future of Open Finance

Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.

Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work.

The team

Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.

We are looking for an Affiliate Growth Lead, US to build and scale our relationships with finance and investing creators and affiliates across the US market. The role combines business development, creator and affiliate partnerships and performance marketing, with a clear commercial mandate: drive attributable funded accounts and trading volume from active traders and investors, starting with Margin.

This is not a crypto-native KOL role. The audience we want to reach already trades and invests, and we reach them through the creators and publishers they trust in traditional finance, trading education and wealth management.

The opportunity
  • Own business development for US finance and investing creators and affiliates, building a high-quality pipeline of trading educators, finance YouTubers and podcasters, newsletter authors, and wealth-management and advisor-creators.

  • Develop and execute the US creator and affiliate strategy, starting with a focus on driving Margin trading volume and funded accounts, with the scope to expand across Kraken's other trading products.

  • Own partner acquisition and relationship development, from initial outreach and commercial conversations through activation and ongoing growth.

  • Structure CPA, revenue-share and hybrid partnerships that tie partner incentives to funded accounts and trading activity.

  • Set up and manage the tracking, attribution, payout and reporting needed to measure partners through funded and traded accounts.

  • Work with Legal and Compliance on disclosure, content review and approved messaging, so that promotion of leveraged products is responsible and consistent.

  • Partner across Growth, Marketing, Product and other relevant teams to turn creator and affiliate opportunities into effective campaigns, and bring partner and audience feedback back into the product.

  • Coordinate with the NORAM Pro KOL Business Development team so each creator has a single point of contact and relationships are not duplicated.

  • Track attributable trading volume, funded accounts, active-trader retention and CAC per partner, and use the results to prioritize partners and investment.

  • Continuously identify emerging creators, communities and affiliate publishers that reach active traders and investors in the US.

What you bring
  • Deep experience in business development, partnerships, influencer management or affiliate-led growth in the US, with a track record of running performance-based creator or affiliate programs for a brokerage, trading platform or investing product.

  • Experience growing margin, options, futures or other leveraged or active-trading products.

  • A strong existing network and understanding of the US finance and investing creator ecosystem, including trading educators, finance YouTubers, newsletter authors, podcasters and wealth-management or advisor-creators.

  • Working knowledge of crypto and digital assets, with the ability to explain crypto trading products clearly to audiences who are new to them.

  • Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate and grow commercially meaningful partnerships, including CPA, revenue-share and hybrid deal structures.

  • Hands-on experience with affiliate networks and tracking platforms.

  • A record of turning creator or affiliate activity into measurable outcomes such as funded accounts, trading volume, revenue or acquisition, with results you can describe in numbers.

  • Familiarity with US financial advertising rules, including FTC paid-endorsement disclosure, and experience getting creator content through compliance review.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the credibility to work with creators who protect their audience's trust and are selective about the brands they promote.

  • Commercial judgment: you prioritize partners based on expected impact on conversion and trading activity, not on reach or activity alone.

  • Comfort using performance data to evaluate partners, diagnose results, adjust strategy and end partnerships that do not perform.

  • Strong cross-functional execution skills and the ability to move opportunities from prospecting through launch and ongoing growth.

Nice to haves
  • Experience working in wealth management or fintech.

  • Experience at a crypto exchange or digital-asset firm.

  • Existing relationships with US crypto-native creators.

Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
