As an Extended Day Staff Member, you'll spend your afternoons leading games and activities, building relationships with students, and helping make the end of the school day a positive experience. You'll work alongside a supportive team and receive guidance from the Assistant Director of Latin 360°.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead games, crafts, and other fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Help create a safe, welcoming environment where students can learn and play.
- Supervise students in classrooms, gyms, playgrounds, and during transitions.
- Build positive relationships with students and serve as a caring role model.
- Help set up and clean up activity spaces.
- Work closely with your teammates to ensure each afternoon runs smoothly.
- Greet parents and guardians during dismissal and share updates when needed.
Pay & Schedule:
- Starting at $17.50 per hour
- Programs run Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
- Flexible scheduling is available—we're happy to work around school, another job, or other commitments.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with school-age children in a school, camp, childcare, recreation, or similar setting is preferred.
- Friendly, dependable, and patient.
- Enjoys being active and engaging with children indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to run, climb stairs, bend, and kneel occasionally.
- Able to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and respond quickly to critical incidents to ensure student safety.
