Job Description:

The Americas HR Lead, Dentsu Creative is responsible for driving HR priorities and leading business transformation across the region. This role serves as a strategic business partner, change agent, and organizational effectiveness leader within a growth-oriented business, partnering closely with Dentsu Creative leadership to shape and execute the people agenda.

As a strategic talent partner, this role ensures effective workforce and talent planning at all levels to support both current needs and future growth. It requires a proven ability to lead talent planning, retention, and engagement initiatives, while building and sustaining a high-performing, “winning” culture.

Leadership

  • Serve as the senior HR leader and trusted strategic partner to Dentsu Creative leadership, driving people outcomes that align with and enable the broader business strategy.
  • Translate evolving business priorities into forward-looking HR strategies that anticipate and respond to organizational needs.
  • Design and implement scalable talent and HR programs that support growth, strengthen capability, and advance key people priorities.
  • Coach and develop leaders to elevate performance, build leadership capability, and cultivate a strong, diverse pipeline of future leaders.
  • Lead and champion people-centered change initiatives that foster agility, engagement, and alignment with dentsu’s values.
  • Act as a steward of culture and engagement, driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience and reinforce a high-performing environment.

Talent Management & Development

  • Lead the execution of core HR processes (e.g., performance management, promotions, compensation, and workforce planning) in alignment with regional and business guidelines.
  • Partner with leaders to drive thoughtful career development, providing coaching and guidance on development plans, capability building, and targeted learning opportunities.
  • Oversee ongoing performance management efforts, equipping leaders to deliver timely, constructive feedback and effectively manage performance, including the design and execution of improvement plans where needed.

Employee Relations & Transitions

  • Serve as a trusted escalation point for complex employee relations matters, providing guidance and driving thoughtful resolution aligned with company values and policies.
  • Advise and educate senior leaders on HR policies and practices, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Oversee key employee lifecycle moments, including onboarding integration and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and respectful employee experience.

General HR Leadership

  • Partner closely with HR colleagues to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance to leaders on a broad range of people matters, including performance, employee relations, workplace policies, and legal considerations.
  • Monitor and analyze attrition and retention trends, using data-driven insights to inform actions that strengthen engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess skill gaps, develop targeted capability-building plans, and support the identification of development opportunities to strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, within a creative agency environment.
  • Proven track record of bringing a strong, informed point of view and confidently influencing senior leaders in fast-paced, creative organizations.
  • Broad HR expertise across key areas, including talent planning, engagement, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and talent development.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic, matrixed environments, managing multiple priorities and leading complex initiatives with impact.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience leveraging HR metrics and data to drive insights, inform decisions, and shape talent strategies.
  • Deep experience in change management with the ability to navigate ambiguity and guide stakeholders through transformation.
  • Understanding of labor legislation and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools, with advanced capabilities in Excel, reporting, and data-driven storytelling.

At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our hybrid way of working combines remote flexibility with regular in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams. Many of our employees who live within commuting distance (90 minutes) from one of our Headquarter or Hub Offices (New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles) are required to work in the office 2-3 days per week including one Team Day. The minimum number of days may vary by office and role. Dentsu may designate other HQ or Hub offices at any time. Those who do not live near an office may be designated as a remote employee, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect you to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office from time to time.

The annual base salary range for this position is $206,000-$300,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
