About Ovative Group:

Ovative Group is an independent, full-funnel media, measurement, and creative firm transforming how brands grow. We partner with leading names like American Eagle, Best Buy, Domino’s, The Home Depot, Polaris, and UnitedHealth Group to build smarter media and measurement programs that drive real, profitable growth.

We don’t just track performance—we redefine it. Powered by our proprietary intelligence platform, EMRge, and our holistic metric Enterprise Marketing Return (EMR), we help brands connect revenue, customer, and brand outcomes into one clear picture of success. Our approach to full-funnel strategy, buying, and measurement delivers results that matter—and it’s getting noticed. Our work has been recognized by Digiday, Google, USA Today, Inc. 5000, and Search Engine Land.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an Analyst, Data & Software Engineering to join our Client Delivery team within the Enterprise Client organization. This team is the operational front door for the EMRge product suite — we own first-line support, client onboarding execution, ongoing client maintenance, and GA product/feature rollouts, in partnership with our Product and Measurement teams.
In this role, you'll execute assigned data and software engineering work within a clearly scoped project, working under the guidance of senior engineers and your DE Manager. You'll help diagnose and resolve client-impacting issues, support client onboarding using existing implementation patterns, and contribute to the ongoing operational health of client solutions built on EMRge. You'll work directly with more senior engineers and, over time, with Product Managers and business stakeholders, to understand the “why” behind the work and build a foundation for translating business needs into technical execution.
You'll be encouraged to build strong engineering fundamentals — version control, testing, documentation — while also learning to use AI-assisted development tools effectively as part of your day-to-day workflow. This is a great seat for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to real client systems, production support, and a fast-paced, collaborative engineering team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute assigned data engineering and software development tasks within a defined project scope and timeline.
  • Support first-line triage, diagnosis, and resolution of client-impacting technical issues, escalating appropriately when an issue requires deeper product-team investigation.
  • Assist with client onboarding and offboarding execution using established EMRge patterns and tooling.
  • Contribute to recurring client maintenance work, including monitoring, break-fix support, and operational upkeep of existing implementations.
  • Document your work, outputs, and any technical debt created during delivery, so others can pick up where you left off.
  • Write tests and follow existing documentation and code-quality standards; flag opportunities to improve them.
  • Communicate blockers, risks, and progress proactively to senior engineers and your manager.
  • Participate in scoping and requirements discussions as needed to inform feasibility.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to support your workflow, under the guidance of senior teammates on responsible use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Data Science, Measurement, Product) as work requires.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:

  • 0–1 years of experience creating software or working with data pipelines (internships, coursework, or professional experience all count).
  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions to clarify ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment where priorities can shift.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) or cloud data warehouses.
  • Coursework or project experience with ETL/data pipeline concepts.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT/Claude for coding, or similar).
  • Interest in or exposure to marketing, media, or advertising — helps in understanding client processes and the data you'll be working with.
  • Experience working on a team using Agile or iterative development practices.
