The Application Configuration Analyst is responsible for configuring application interfaces, maintaining reports, and supporting vendor applications, while troubleshooting and implementing changes to custom developed applications. They will work to learn business processes and engage with stakeholders for new projects and defect resolutions.

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities:
- Configuring application interfaces, maintaining reports, and vendor package applications.
- Analyzing, designing, configuring, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing changes to the various custom developed and package applications supported.
- Learn business processes for supported applications and investigate and resolve production issues.
- Develop technical designs that meet business needs and support the company’s IT direction. Develop clear documentation for completed products.
- Creating and executing comprehensive unit test plans, developing test cases, assisting with integration, and completing system test plans.
- Assist with coordination of software packaging requests where needed to support Asset Management.
- Learning electric utility transmission and distribution related business processes.
- Managing source code repositories, builds, and deploys.
- Frequent interaction with business owners/stakeholders to gather requirements for new development projects, assist in defect resolution, etc.
- Availability to work flexible hours to support our application portfolio.
Requirements
- Relational database experience, strong SQL skills including writing procedures and triggers
- Microsoft Server configuration/administration (IIS, Services, Tasks, etc.) required
- Asset Management products (DNV Cascade, Doble Powerbase, Hitachi Asset Performance Monitor (APM) and/or SEL Compass highly preferred
- Linux/UNIX OS systems, Kubernetes clusters and application deployments a plus, integration experience a strong plus
- Willingness to tackle unfamiliar assignments with the ability to quickly learn new IT concepts and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team; highly motivated to work independently and productively in a virtual environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver software solutions across the full development lifecycle, troubleshoot production issues, and apply strong analytical and creative problem-solving to drive improvements.
Preferred Skills:
- Database tools (TOAD, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.)
