What You'll Do

Carrier Onboarding & Cold Chain Qualification

Carrier Verification: Lead the verification and onboarding process specifically for produce carriers, ensuring compliance with cold-chain protocols, reefer unit certification, and FSMA Sanitary Transportation Rule requirements.

Proactive Network Vetting: Utilize internal tools and third-party monitoring services to proactively identify and remove non-compliant, fraudulent, or high-risk produce carriers from the network.

Prospect Qualification: Accelerate business growth for Arrive Fresh by efficiently vetting sales-prospect reefer carriers, maintaining operational momentum, and confirming execution of the Arrive Fresh produce addendum.

System Maintenance & Fresh Data Integrity

Real-Time Status Updates: Update and maintain carrier compliance systems to reflect real-time status changes, including reefer equipment checks, safety alerts, and authority revocations.

Profile Reviews: Conduct detailed reviews of carrier profiles, verifying temperature recording capabilities and produce handling history to support network expansion.

Carrier Data Accuracy: Ensure high data accuracy to support produce operational efficiency and risk management, verifying contact information, temperature monitoring protocols, and insurance coverages.

HVHR Alignment: Ensure Fresh carriers meet Arrive's High-Value/High-Risk (HVHR) vetting standards, authority checks, and produce-specific restrictions.

Real-Time Monitoring & Fraud Prevention

Industry Reporting & Fraud Prevention: Review industry reports (FreightGuard, WatchDog, etc.) to flag fraudulent actors, double-brokering, or fictitious pickups targeting produce shipments.

Temperature & Seal Protocols: Implement and monitor strict adherence to seal integrity, temperature recorder protocols, and cold-chain security requirements.

Cross-Functional Support & SOP Development

Sales & Ops Liaison: Respond to escalations, clarify produce-specific compliance protocols, and provide rapid resolution to keep sales and ops teams moving quickly.

SOP Maintenance: Build and update compliance-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for produce carrier onboarding, vetting standards, and decertifications.

Continuous Process Improvement

Process Enhancements: Propose enhancements based on carrier feedback, audit findings, and regulatory updates impacting reefer and produce transportation.

Industry & Regulatory Tracking: Stay current with FMCSA policy changes, PACA updates, and cold-chain technology trends to adjust internal compliance workflows accordingly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

2+ years of experience in carrier compliance, risk management, or transportation operations, with exposure to produce/perishable freight or reefer shipping.

Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, carrier onboarding practices, insurance requirements, and FSMA Sanitary Transportation Rule standards.

Prior experience within a freight brokerage environment strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of FMCSA regulations, carrier vetting practices, and cargo insurance requirements.

Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong moral and ethical compass, demonstrating integrity and trustworthiness.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment under time pressure.
