Job Details

Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute is growing with a new state-of-the-art facility designed to transform care for patients with complex neurological conditions. Bringing outpatient, surgical, imaging, and inpatient services together under one roof, this expansion creates exciting opportunities for caregivers to learn, grow and collaborate across specialties. Join a nationally recognized team and help deliver innovative, compassionate care in a world-class environment.

In addition to our established nine-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, we are opening a new 15-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in our new Neurological Building, with continued growth planned for the future. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses to join a highly specialized team and help shape a new unit while expanding their clinical expertise.

As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to help launch and shape this new 15-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. You’ll work alongside nursing and multidisciplinary leaders to establish a strong culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate family-centered care. This is more than a leadership role—you’ll be part of creating the standards, workflows, and team environment that will support the unit as it grows.

In this role, you will serve as a visible clinical and operational leader, providing real-time support to nurses and collaborating closely with physicians, EEG technologists, advanced practice providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will evaluate and coach nursing staff, support professional development, address performance and attendance concerns, and initiate corrective action when needed. You’ll partner with Nurse Managers to resolve unit-based operational and patient care issues, monitor workflow and staffing needs, promote efficient operations, and proactively escalate significant clinical or performance concerns.

This is an opportunity to bring your nursing leadership experience to a brand-new environment, help build a high-performing team, and play a key role in advancing care for children with epilepsy and complex seizure disorders. If you’re energized by the opportunity to lead change, develop people, and help create something exceptional, we invite you to be part of this exciting next chapter in Pediatric Epilepsy care.
