The Associate Educational Sales Consultant (AESC) is a client-facing role that partners with the territory team to support sales efforts, build strong district relationships, and contribute to growth within the assigned territory. The AESC will build interdependent relationships with district-level school administrators to promote digital and print-based products and services within the Curriculum Associates portfolio. The AESC is a product expert focused on driving and supporting teaching and learning innovation, and partnering with institutions to meet the educational outcomes of access, achievement and affordability to make classrooms a better place for all children.

The impact you'll have:

  • Working with the Director of Sales and Educational Sales Consultants in the Region, gain an understanding of the company’s products, the issues faced by teachers in the classroom and the latest educational trends at the local, state and national level 
  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities, expansion opportunities, and areas for deeper partnership within assigned accounts. 
  • Establish relationships with school district leaders in targeted accounts 
  • Develop relationships with pilot teachers and ensure smooth implementations 
  • Work with district administrators on launching and maintaining successful engagement campaigns 
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, deliver sales presentations 
  • Participate in district visits, conferences, webinars, and other customer-facing events to increase awareness and engagement. Work to develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders to include Sales, Service, Account Management, and Product Development teams 
  • Learn to develop and implement sales plans & strategies to effectively utilize multiple resources 
  • Communicate with colleagues and cross-functional partners by maintaining accurate and timely updates on account activity, opportunities, customer interactions, and next steps. Gather competitive intelligence and share market feedback to help inform territory strategies. 

What we're looking for:  

  • Ability to demonstrate digital/technology solutions 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • 0-2 years of sales experience; educational and/or SaaS-based sales a plus  
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, web-based presentation tools, sales contact management systems (SalesForce.com) a plus 

Travel: Position involves overnight travel.

Working Environment: Position involves the ability to lift and transport books and promotional materials weighing as much as 50lbs.

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $60,750-$99,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
