Lead and coach a billing team, oversee end-to-end billing operations and timely invoice generation, resolve complex customer billing inquiries, maintain customer relationships, identify and fix billing discrepancies, and support month-end close activities while driving accuracy and continuous improvement.
Daniels Health is seeking an experienced and driven Billing Manager to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for leading the billing function, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a high level of service to both internal stakeholders and customers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Lead, coach, and support a team of billing professionals to ensure high performance and accountability
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex billing inquiries
- Resolve customer issues in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including those with ongoing billing inquiries
- Oversee the end-to-end billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoice generation and distribution
- Review billing outputs to identify discrepancies or potential issues
- Proactively resolve billing concerns to minimize downstream impact
- Support broader month-end close activities in collaboration with the Finance team
Candidate Profile
- 5 years of billing experience; 1 – 2 years of management experience
- Degree in Finance or Accounting or in a related field
- Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Leadership skills & Management experience
- Excel skills: creating and reading reports, basic formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, count ifs, etc
- Word and PowerPoint knowledge
- Salesforce experience would be nice but not required
