The Bookkeeper will manage bookkeeping tasks, handle accounts payable/receivable, process payroll, and provide administrative support for multiple clients.

Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to support their growing portfolio of small business clients. They operate in the financial services space and have steadily expanded their client base by delivering reliable and scalable bookkeeping solutions in recent years.
This is a part-time, long-term remote opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple clients, balancing bookkeeping responsibilities with light administrative support and client communication.
- Manage monthly bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online
- Categorize transactions and perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Support cleanup projects and make corrections to prior financial periods
- Process payroll, ideally using Gusto
- Assist with preparation and submission of sales tax filings (monthly or quarterly)
- Support business registrations and basic compliance-related tasks
- Maintain organized financial records and client documentation
- Communicate with clients to request missing information or clarify details
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, and document or route inquiries appropriately
- Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles (AP/AR, reconciliations, categorization)
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities independently
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Comfortable handling both accounting and administrative responsibilities
- Professional communication skills in English and Spanish
- Availability aligned with U.S. Central Time business hours
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
- Previous experience in bookkeeping for multiple clients or small businesses
- Experience with payroll processing (Gusto is a plus)
- Experience supporting administrative or virtual assistant tasks
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously
