QualificationsPosition Snapshot
A Spirits Category Manager is responsible for the management of all the Bottled Spirits in the Champion Brands, Inc. portfolio. To be successful in this role you will:
- Establish sales and programming targets for the Bottled Spirits portfolio.
- Manage on and off premise distribution goals and execution.
- Review account history and current sales/deliveries to identify and follow trends.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors to create MBO and incentive programs for Bottled Spirits brands to drive planning goals. Prove collaboration for Bottled Spirits sales opportunities.
- Track Bottled Spirits sales performance, managing new item selection and setup, forecasting, quality control and SKU optimization with the Specialty Director.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to minimize out-of-stock conditions and excess inventory, including point of sale materials
- Communicate relevant brand and programming information to the general market sales team. Conduct rigorous work-with schedules with reps to focus on identified opportunities and sales initiatives. Assist Sales Directors with Bottled Spirits brand training for general sales force on an as needed basis.
- Supplement Bottled Spirits brand planning in key and off-premise chains.
- Manage marketing and price promotional budgets.
- Work with GM, VP of Sales, and Specialty Director to vet and court prospective Bottled Spirit suppliers.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with supplier partners through regular communication, planning, and performance reviews.
- Analyze depletion, distribution, programming, and profitability data to identify opportunities and communicate results to leadership and supplier partners.
Requirements and Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree is preferred.
- 3 years of previous Bottled Sales experience in the on and off premise preferred.
- Previous portfolio management with a supplier or distributor preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficient in technology such as iPad and apps.
- Reliable automobile transportation
- Note: Must carry the following liability insurance if driving their personal vehicle for business purposes are required to use their personal liability insurance as the primary payer and maintain auto liability insurance.
- Collision and comprehensive coverage at the following minimum coverage:
- Bodily injury liability limit: $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident
- Property damage liability limit: $100,000 each accident
