ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Business Analyst (GSD) is role focused on developing strategic frameworks to optimize operational processes within the organization while ensuring that activities are aligned with compliance regulations. It involves active risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, manage, and minimize potential operational issues. Individuals in this role have a strong emphasis on strategy-driven problem-solving, project coordination, and ensuring that operational objectives are both efficient and regulatory-compliant.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Analyzing existing operations for efficiency improvements, identifying risks, and implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to create strategies that enhance workflows, increase productivity, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Helping to coordinate projects across departments to ensure that milestones and goals are met on time and within regulatory guidelines.
  • Developing high-level plans for operational improvements or initiatives while integrating compliance measures, addressing risk factors, and assisting the affected department(s) in writing or adjusting their processes and procedures to align with the new strategies and requirements.
  • Emphasis on strategic planning, metrics generation, operational analysis, and risk management to support broader scale efficiency, growth, and regulatory adherence. 

Experience and Skills:  

  • Developing skills in strategy development, strategic analysis, and decision-making with an understanding of risk mitigation and compliance principles.
  • Proficient in basic project coordination, with a focus on supporting cross-departmental efforts to achieve operational success while learning to identify and address risks to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foundational understanding of operations, organizational workflows, and regulatory requirements.
  • Growing ability to propose, communicate, and assist in coordinating strategic initiatives for operational improvements while supporting risk management and compliance efforts.
  • Working knowledge of and comfort using SQL, Excel, and AI tools to support data analysis, reporting, and process improvement efforts.
