Department Overview
The Product Orderability team sits at the intersection of Go-To-Market Strategy, Product Management, and Sales. We drive end-to-end orderability workflows across Motorola Solutions product lines and ensure CPQ configuration stability.
Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, engineering, and development teams to optimize end-to-end ordering systems and product configuration pipelines. This role focuses on translating product scope into precise technical requirements, simplifying complex Bills of Material (BOMs), and ensuring defect-free orderability across core enterprise platforms. Additionally, we are looking for a forward-thinking candidate with hands-on experience utilizing modern AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, Chat GPT) to streamline requirement drafting, automated test case generation, workflow optimization and data analysis.

Requirements & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications for ordering platforms.
  • Map and model end-to-end business processes to define and document functional requirements across ERP and PLM ecosystems.
  • Drive product simplification initiatives—including SKU rationalization, product cancellation analysis, and BOM rule streamlining—to reduce overall ordering complexity.
  • Leverage generative AI tools (such as Google Gemini and or Agent Orchestration) to accelerate business documentation, draft process models, analyze data sets, and create comprehensive test scenarios efficiently

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Requirement Gathering: Partner directly with Portfolio Strategy & Operations (PSO), Business Operations, Service Orderability (SO), and IT to translate complex business workflows into functional and technical AI use cases.
  • Agentic AI & Rule Governance: Work with the team to design, build, and test AI agents to ensure they consistently operate within strict business rules, compliance guidelines, and operational guardrails.
  • Developer Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the AI engineering team to guide end-to-end implementation from intake through deployment.

Implementation & Quality Assurance

  • Partner directly with software developers to clarify functional specs, review architectural solutions, and guide technical requirement implementation.
  • Design, build, and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and validation scripts for items, BOM structures, and configuration rules.
  • Verify configuration accuracy with manufacturing and factory systems to eliminate downstream sales order processing errors.
  • Advocate for user experience standards across ordering interfaces to ensure a seamless orderability workflow (Orderability UX).
  • Actively contribute within an Agile framework, managing backlog priorities, user stories, and continuous improvement deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Supply Chain, Services) to maintain operational alignment across global implementation projects.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposed to business systems analysis, requirements gathering, and enterprise software configuration.
  • Interested in hands-on experience with enterprise ERP environments (preferably Oracle ecosystem) and a strong functional understanding of Bills of Material (BOM).
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated success leading initiatives with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of mastering complex technical domain knowledge and translating it into clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience using modern AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini and or Agent Orchestration) for writing requirements, streamlining business process modeling, or generating test scripts.
  • Technical proficiency with Oracle PLM, Oracle EBS, and Oracle CPQ.
  • Domain knowledge in the Telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with database scripting or automation tools (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Google Apps Script).

Target Base Salary Range: $62,000 - $68,000 USD
